Objectives

Our twelve month objectives are normally set by member groups at our AGM in June. These are our major objectives for 2011- 2012.
 
1.  We aim to shape the direction of media as we go into the digital world.  So we will:
  • develop, publish and promote a manifesto of values for digital engagement
  • continue to support the development of relevant and accurate religious programming with advice and contacts
 
2. We aim to see more Christians working more effectively in the media.  So we will:
  • launch a campaign to promote Christian vocations in the media
  • appoint a MediaNet development worker
  • renew theMediaNet website and enhance its functionality
  • develop local and sector-based MediaNet groups
 
3.  We aim to see churches in the UK embrace the power of the media for good.  So we will:
  • develop and publish online training resources for churches
  • produce a monthly e-mail media briefing for church leaders and others
  • continue to develop the annual conference and the Church and Media Forum as places where Church leaders are equipped to engage with the media
